Blueprint Stats

To expand its reach, Blueprint, a sports statistics startup, was exploring the possibility of offshoring its analysts to another country.

As a part of the recommendation, HCN consultants investigated the following:

  1. Finding a suitable country that can provide the necessary resources, including an interest in basketball, a large population, lower labor costs, and infrastructure for the analysts to work remotely.

  2. Determining which media channels Blueprint could potentially collaborate with to expand its reach. This analysis involved identifying the most popular media channels in the target country, assessing their reach and influence, and evaluating their suitability for Blueprint’s operations.

PART ONE: Country Comparison for offshoring analysts

For the first part of the project, HCN Consultants compared two countries (one in Southeast Asia and one in South Asia). After researching each country, HCN Consultants chose one country best suited for helping expand Blueprint’s operations.

PART TWO: Exploring recruitment channels

For the second part of the project, HCN Consultants explored recruiting channels within the two countries to identify Blueprint’s best course of action for recruiting statisticians. Our consultants’ research suggested that the most efficient approach for recruiting statisticians is to target top universities and utilize popular online platforms to advertise available jobs, as this works to target individuals with expertise who are searching for jobs. Overall, a multi-pronged strategy involving direct recruitment from universities and utilizing relevant media channels is recommended for the successful recruitment of statisticians.

PART THREE: Exploring Potential Partnerships

Finally, HCN consultants compared the four different media channels to determine which media channels would allow Blueprint to most effectively deliver its prepared statistics and video footage to its members.
